FY 2024 Hazardous Fuels Transportation Assistance (HFTA) Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to enhance the pace and scale of the U.S. Forest Service’s Wildfire Crisis Strategy by facilitating and increasing the removal of hazardous fuels from National Forest System (NFS) lands and/or the removal of hazardous fuels that benefit NFS lands as well as supporting the utilization of such wood resources to make contributions to the economy. Click here for more information.

FY 2025 Landscape Scale Restoration (LSR) Competitive Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports collaborative, science-based restoration projects that focus on priority landscapes in the western United States and encourages the use of innovative cross-boundary approaches to support landscape restoration. Projects must focus on on-the-ground outcomes on nonfederal rural forest land, which is also considered nonindustrial private forest land or state forest land. Click here for more information.

FY 2024 Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing)

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program empowers communities that are actively taking steps to remove barriers to affordable housing and seeking to increase housing production and lower housing costs for families over the long term. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State governments, county governments, local governments, metropolitan planning organizations, and multijurisdictional entities

FY 2024 Youth Engagement, Education and Employment

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to employ the next generation of conservationists in paid projects and internships of the Public Lands Corps (PLC) Program. The PLC Program provides work and education opportunities for youth participants ages 16 to 30, and up to the age of 35 for veterans, in the areas of national and cultural resource conservation, development, and scientific research. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State or local governments, special districts, institutions of higher education, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, Native American tribal organizations, and nonprofit organizations. Applicants must be members of the funding agency’s Youth Corps.
