This is your weekly grant opportunities update from The National Special Districts Association. Special districts are either eligible to apply directly, or able to partner with a qualifying entity to apply for any of the grants listed.

Department of the Interior

FY 2025 Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program creates partnerships to help people and communities while supporting fish, wildlife, and their habitats. This support aims to restore and conserve fish and wildlife habitats for the benefit of federal trust resources. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, county, city or township, and special district governments; independent school districts; public, private, and state controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (federally and non-federally recognized); public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; nonprofit organizations (with or without 501(c)(3) status); individuals; for-profit organizations; and small businesses

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $15 million

WHEN'S IT DUE? Rolling from January 1, 2025, through September

30, 2025. To be considered for funding in FY 2025, applications

must be submitted before May 30, 2025.

FY 2025 Coastal Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program encourages the restoration and protection of fish and wildlife habitat on public and private lands by providing technical and financial assistance to coastal communities, conservation partners, and landowners. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State governments, local governments, special districts, independent school districts, private and public institutions of higher education, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, public housing authorities and Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations, nonprofits organizations, for-profit organizations, individuals and small businesses

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $6 million

WHEN'S IT DUE? Rolling from January 1, 2025, through September

30, 2025. To be considered for funding in FY 2025, applications

must be submitted before May 30, 2025.
