FYI: Financial Disclosure Transparency Act of 2022 standards being defined, draft rule circulated

Aug 1, 2024 — Financial Disclosure Transparency Act of 2022 (“FTDA”).   Pursuant to FDTA, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, National Credit Union Administration, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Housing Finance Agency, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Department of Treasury released proposed rules to establish data standards to promote interoperability of financial regulatory data across these agencies.

We have attached a link to the proposed rule (https://www.fdic.gov/system/files/2024-07/fr-npr-on-financial-data-transparency-act.pdf).  NSDC's partner, the Public Finance Network, is still determining the impact, including financial, on municipal entities.  NSDC has been briefed on this issue in the past, but more detail will be forthcoming now that a draft rule has been circulated.
