Neil McCormick
Neil McCormick is the Chief Executive Officer of the California Special Districts Association (CSDA), where he oversees the implementation of Board policy and strategic direction as approved by the CSDA Board of Directors. His responsibilities include guiding the association to meet the evolving needs of its diverse membership.
With over 26 years of experience in association management, including more than 20 years at CSDA, McCormick is well-versed in issues related to special districts and local governments in California. He represents CSDA's membership on important policy matters impacting local governments, ensuring their interests are effectively communicated and addressed.
In addition to his role at CSDA, McCormick serves as CEO for the Special District Leadership Foundation, the California Special Districts Alliance, and the CSDA Finance Corporation. His leadership extends to the national level as a founder and key figure in the newly formed National Special Districts Coalition (NSDC). In this capacity, he plays a crucial role in uniting special districts across the United States to address common challenges and advocate for supportive federal policies.
McCormick also serves as a Board Member at the Institute for Local Government, contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of local governments through education, training, and advocacy.
